His experience as a bass player and his invaluable knowledge of instrument building is admired and appreciated by friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

Out of his passion for music, an appreciation for beautiful instruments and a desire to assist in finding the right instrument for individual musicians, Bänz founded bassboutik.ch a broker service for double basses in 2010. With his longstanding background as musician and teacher, he can advise customers from the perspective of a seasoned bass player.
